Naofumi seems cornered until Rishia and the queen back him up. The two groups seem evenly matched until Glass arrives to back up L'Arc and Therese. Surprisingly, L'Arc proves to be an honourable and extremely competent fighter. Apparently, they must kill all Legendary Heroes of Raphtalia's World to save their own world. 
However, once they defeated the boss, they turn on Naofumi. During the fight against the wave, L'Arc and Therese prove to be incredibly powerful and even defeat the wave boss in a single hit. Naofumi warns the heroes and the queen and everyone prepares to defend against the wave.
When swimming in the ocean, Filo finds an underwater dragon hourglass which states that there will be a wave at the archipelago in only a few days. Eventually, Naofumi and his party level up to a point where they are hardly gaining experience so they decide to enjoy the islands instead. During their levelling up, L'Arc is revealed to have a weapon very similar to the Legendary Weapons but Naofumi doesn't ask about it. Eventually, they party up with L'Arc and Therese and work well with them. The next day Naofumi and his party start levelling up across the islands. Naofumi also finds a magical tablet which teaches him a powerful buff spell. While there they meet L'Arc and Therese who are two adventurers also going to Cal Mira.Īfter arriving in Cal Mira, Naofumi and his party get a tour with the Earl of Habenburg while the other heroes recover from their seasickness. However, on the way Raphtalia asks to go by her home village which was destroyed during the first wave. Hearing from the queen that there is an event at Cal Mira Archipelago which will boost experience gain, Naofumi and his party head to the docks go to the area. Along the way they meet new friends and enemies. With word that the Cal Mira activation event is about to begin, Naofumi and his party head to the archipelago in order to power-up.
